Aferican Journeys has been to many incredible destinations, and here are a few highlights.

After Travelling the entire country twice, we  settled in the volunteer county of the volunteer state of USA in a little town called Paris. Finding the right piece of land, within the right community and for the right reasons is our goal.

Biltmore Estate

Biltmore Estate is a working farm.
Access to few hundred acres of fertile river bottom land rich with nutrients due to flooding from French Broad and Swannanoa Rivers
Corn and Soybeen is grown and used as animal feed
Barley is grown for off-site beer production
More than 50% of hay is produced on the farm and used to feed cows during cold season.
Wheat and Triticale is grown and used to feed cows during cold season.
No-till to mitigate soil erosion and retain more water

Native wildflowers attract pollinators e.g bees, butterflies, birds of various species
Sunflowers for natural beauty and feed for wildlife

Best way to tour the estate is on bikes.

The trails are well marked and pedestrians and bikers share very well
